What Sets Tauberg Chiropractic

INDIVIDUALIZED AND DEDICATED CHIROPRACTIC CARE FOR THE GREATER PITTSBURGH AND FOX CHAPEL AREAS
At Tauberg Chiropractic & Rehabilitation we are dedicated to providing a great patient experience. It is our belief that by providing you with a great experience that you will have better treatment outcomes. Great patient experiences are best achieved through individualized care which includes plenty of one on one time with the doctor. We understand that when you go to a doctor’s office you want to be treated as an individual and by the doctor. So that is what we do.
When you come to Tauberg Chiropractic & Rehabilitation in Fox Chapel the first time Dr. Tauberg will spend around 45 minutes to 1 hour one on one with you. During this time you will go over the comprehensive history of your condition, an in depth examination to determine the root of your problem, and then an individualized treatment that is meant to specifically target the cause of your condition. After that first visit we will have you come in for a trial of care to see how you respond to the treatments that are prescribed specifically for you. During the trial of care Dr. Tauberg will spend around 20-30 minutes with you on each visit. During this time you will have the doctor’s complete attention, so that you can make a full recovery as quickly as possible. If at any time you have any questions, or concerns during treatment you will be able to have them directly answered by the doctor.
EVIDENCE BASED CHIROPRACTOR
You may or may not be familiar with the term evidence based care. Evidence based care is a model of healthcare that focuses on 3 main factors to determine the best possible treatment. These three factors are the best available research, patient expectations, and clinician expertise. Through these 3 factors treatment decisions can be reached that are supported by research and best help the patient achieve their goals.
By using the best available research to guide your treatment, determining your goals based on what you want out of treatment, and using Dr. Tauberg’s expertise to guide the treatment we are able to provide you with the care that you deserve. Far too often patients are scared into treatment by chiropractors who take unnecessary x-rays or use vague terms such as subluxations to justify expensive and lengthy treatments. At Tauberg Chiropractic & Rehabilitation we promise not to fool or trick you into receiving treatment. We will work with you to determine if the services we provide are the appropriate treatments for you and we will do our best to get you better as quickly as possible.

Cost of going to a Chiropractor in the Pittsburgh and Fox Chapel areas:
When searching for health care, quality of care should be the deciding factor when determining who you are going to trust to treat your condition. However, we understand that cost can play a big role in decision making so if you are primarily concerned with saving money you will probably still love Tauberg Chiropractic & Rehabilitation.
With the New Year starting your health care coverage is going to reset. What this means is your deductible payed is going to go back to 0 and you will have to pay off your entire deductible in full before you get to just pay your copays for each visit. In our experience it seems that the majority of deductibles are at least $1000 if not much higher, and the majority of chiropractic copays are around $30-$60 (seems to usually be in the higher end of that range). You can check your numbers by looking on your insurance card. In most cases chiropractors are considered specialists so that is the copay you would have to pay. If you have a plan similar to the one mentioned above you would need to pay $1000 out of pocket for the health care you receive before you can just pay your copay. The majority of chiropractic offices are insurance based and as such they legally have to charge the exact same amount per individual service regardless of if that charge will be paid by the insurance company or by you, to do otherwise can be considered fraud. As such when you haven’t met the deductible you could be forced to pay a bill as high as $200 for just one visit. Then if you continue to go to an office that operate this way once your deductible has been meet you will still need to pay your copay each visit whatever that maybe. At Tauberg Chiropractic & Rehabilitation we are all self-pay. We do not go through insurances as this saves us time and money. We charge $50 a visit regardless of what treatment or services you have performed at the visit. The amount of money this can save you is enormous.
An example: We typically find that the amount of visits to get better for the majority of conditions is between 6 - 12 visits. If you were to go to an insurance based chiropractor without having met any of your deductible you could possibly pay up to $1200 for 6 visits or $2400 for 12 visits, depending on how much the chiropractor bills, and how high your deductible is. At Tauberg Chiropractic & Rehabilitation you could expect to pay $300 for 6 visits and $600 for 12 visits that’s a potential savings of 75%. If you happen to be one of the lucky people who has a low deductible, or has already met it, and you have a low co-pay you can still expect to pay around $180 for 6 visits or $360 for 12 visits. At those price points you really should be considering if paying $20 less per visit is worth any decrease in quality of care you may receive.
